[b.] Lies on cars, runs in grass, walks barefoot in sand. Writes too much for her own good. Reads only for quotations. Seeking permanence by living moments permanently. Seeking love by pretending it does not exist. Insomniac, by choice. Foodie, by birth. Driven towards an unidentified goal.
Pet peeves include: recognizable fonts in graphic design, bite marks in food, and misplaced apostrophes.
Can be found in: bed napping, a used bookstore, a cafe with a journal not drinking coffee, at her mbp reading QC/xkcd, in Sichuan teaching English.
Will rarely: make promises.
Can always use: a scoop of haagan dazs, a mix CD, a good nap.

The things you find out on design-love mailing lists.

In InDesign CS3 or CS4, go to InDesign > About InDesign. When the splash window comes up, slowly type butterfly, and it should turn into an animated field with butterflies flying around. Feel free to click on a butterfly and pin it in place. You can even pin multiple butterflies at once. If you play long enough, a green alien in a spaceship will come and knock down some of the butterflies. Press Esc to go back to whatever you were supposed to be doing in the first place.

I thought she was joking; she’s not. Go have some stabbing butterfly fun.

[I definitely thought the green alien was a joke. It’s not.] [yes, ALL of us are procrastinating.]
